Executive Director
Winnie Omojo Okoh is an industrious, dedicated wife and mother of two lovely children. She is very compassionate and derives joy in helping humanity. As someone who grew up privileged in a society of unequal opportunities, though comfortable and has everything she needed was greatly pained by the inability of so many around her to meet their most basic need. On several occasion, mostly during her university days, she was seen using her personal money meant for her upkeep in school to pay tuition fees of those who cannot afford to pay their tuition fee.
In 2019, she met a boy about the age of 17 who was supposed to write his WAEC but could not afford the registration and there engaged in all manner of labour just to raise his WAEC fee, just before he could raise the registration fee it was already late and he had to wait for the next year to register. As the year and time for him to re-register approaches, his pregnant mother went into labour through cesarean operation (CS) and this boy who could not watch his mother die due to lack of fund for the operation donated his savings meant for his registration, again the hope of writing his WAEC was almost gone until we intervene and helped him with his registration. This is just one of many cases we have come across in the past few years and after a careful review of my encounter with these children over the years, especially those in rural and neglected communities of the society I decided to set up an intervention programme saddled with the responsibility for identifying and assisting underprivileged children with their basic academic needs.
